What the actual hell? I would be so angry as a parent. During my time at school (I say this as if I'm 45, but actually only 22), corporal punishment was allowed and teachers would often do this in front of the entire class. Never in front of the parents, though. It was humiliating and made me (and I assume other kids) feel like sinking in a hole and dying. This was in 2008. We're in 2021 and this type of behaviour is unacceptable, especially given the mountain of studies that suggest the harmful effects that corporal punishment has on the development of kids.
