My major is Latin American and Caribbean Studies so I'd never heard the American version of the Alamo or seen any of the film adaptations so this article was really interesting. Although, the version that I was taught in university broadly paints Americans as the bad guys and invaders of Texas who got what they deserved. Everyone seems to create their own version of history. I imagine somewhere between the Mexican story and the American one is the God honest truth.
