I didn't realize until I saw this post pop up in my recommended but I haven't used a period tracking app for over two years. When I upgraded my phone a couple years ago, I didn't bother to redownload it for some reason. I don't even note my first day on a physical or digital calendar. More recently, I've been going with physical markers of my cycle (discharge, cravings, bloating etc.) and they've been helpful. Ditching period apps also coincided with my switch from tampons to menstual cups and period underwear. It's weird but because I'm less worried about spillage, I also no longer depend on these apps as much. Great article, Eliza!
