I agree. Saw the Il-Nam twist coming from a mile away. First rule of TV: if you don’t see a body, they’re not dead. I disagree that it would’ve made more sense for Gi-hun to reach out to his daughter right away. He’d just killed his childhood friend, participated in the death of hundreds of people and his mom died while he was away doing all of this. I imagine, that’d leave a butt ton of unresolved trauma. Also, him not visiting his daughter at the end was stupid but completely in character for him. Even in the first episode, the show establishes that Gi-hun is a good person but a pretty crappy dad who prioritizes cheap thrills over his child.
